Help with food & drug recall alerts

Getting started

How RecallSafe works

Pick your allergens once during setup. RecallSafe then watches live FDA and USDA recall feeds, then shows and notifies you about only the recalls that mention an allergen you track. All filtering happens privately on your device.

I'm not getting notifications

Open Settings → Notifications in the app and make sure recall alerts are turned on. If they're off, tap through to iOS Settings and enable notifications for RecallSafe. Alerts fire when a new matching recall is published, so it's normal to see none until one appears.

What is RecallSafe Pro?

Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks household & pet profiles, so you can track each family member's and pet's allergens separately and get alerts if a recall affects anyone. The core feed, allergen filter, and alerts are free forever.

How do I restore my purchase?

On a new device or after reinstalling, open the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchase. Your one-time unlock will be restored at no charge.

Is a "no match" from the scanner a guarantee it's safe?

No. Recalls don't always list every product, so the scanner never frames a "no match" as a guarantee. Always check the official notice if you're unsure.

Privacy & data

No account, no tracking. Your allergens and profiles stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details. Recall data comes from public FDA and USDA feeds; product data in the scanner is from Open Food Facts (ODbL).
